Cinnamon Apple Crostata with Lavender Sugar

  • 1 refrigerated Pie Crust (making this one easy)1/2 c. lavender sugar
  • 2 t. cinnamon
  • 4 t. cornstarch
  • 4 c. peeled and sliced apples
  • 1 t. sugar
  • 2 t. chopped pecans

  • Heat oven to 450 degrees.
  • Combine lavender sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon.
  • Add apples and toss.
  •  Unfold room temperature crust and remove plastic sheets.
  •  Place on 15 x 10" baking sheet.
  •  Spoon apple mixture into center, leaving a 2" border.
  •  Fold edge of crust 2" over the apples all the way around.
  •  Brush crust with water and sprinkle with sugar.
  •  Sprinkle nuts over the exposed apple filling if desired.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes or until crust is golden and apples tender.

*Apples can be substituted with pears or peaches.
