Cinnamon Apple Crostata with Lavender Sugar
- 1 refrigerated Pie Crust (making this one easy)1/2 c. lavender sugar
- 2 t. cinnamon
- 4 t. cornstarch
- 4 c. peeled and sliced apples
- 1 t. sugar
- 2 t. chopped pecans
- Heat oven to 450 degrees.
- Combine lavender sugar, cornstarch and cinnamon.
- Add apples and toss.
- Unfold room temperature crust and remove plastic sheets.
- Place on 15 x 10" baking sheet.
- Spoon apple mixture into center, leaving a 2" border.
- Fold edge of crust 2" over the apples all the way around.
- Brush crust with water and sprinkle with sugar.
- Sprinkle nuts over the exposed apple filling if desired.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until crust is golden and apples tender.
*Apples can be substituted with pears or peaches.
